First Line Leader

The Intermediate level develops the ability to lead peers and small teams by learning to lead by example, which builds trust and influence. Participants move from self-awareness and disciplined followership into the practical leadership of others, learning how to set expectations, provide constructive feedback, and guide small groups through explanation of the leader’s decisions and assigning tasks while working through daily challenges.

This level ensures participants:

- Understand leadership styles and how to apply them across different situations and personalities.

- Recognize Helix culture dynamics at the team level and leverage this knowledge to lead diverse personalities effectively.

- Develop critical thinking skills and practice basic risk awareness.

- Translate organizational priorities into actionable tasks that guide team execution.

- Provide constructive feedback to peers and subordinates that improves both performance and behavior.

The purpose of this level is to create credible small-team leaders who earn influence through professionalism, determination, and perseverance, reinforcing trust up and down the chain of command.
